Privacy policy

We keep this short and plain. We collect as little as we can, we never sell your data, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.
Who we are
mybiblemoment is run by Invent IT s.r.o., Bagarova 1184/22, 841 01 Bratislava, Slovakia, company ID 55564411. We are the controller of your personal data. Write to us about anything on this page at privacy@mybiblemoment.com.
What we collect
When you join the mailing list, we store:
- your email address
- when you signed up and when you confirmed your address
- when we sent your confirmation email, and a scrambled (hashed) copy of the code in its link, so we can recognise the link without keeping the code itself
- where you came from, if the link you followed said so (for example “instagram”), which tells us which channels people find us through
- your personal invite code, and which member invited you if you joined through their invite link
Our servers see your IP address when you use the site. We use it only for a short time to limit how often a form can be submitted, which stops abuse. We do not store it with your email address.
We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics. It records which pages are viewed, how fast they load, and roughly where visitors are, without cookies and without identifying you or following you to other sites.
Why we use it
- To email you, with your consent. We send a confirmation email, then your first moment with the Bible when we launch and news about the app. We only send these after you confirm your address.
- To keep the service safe. Rate limiting and abuse protection are in our legitimate interest in running a secure service.
- To understand what works. Visit counts, where sign-ups come from and who invited whom help us decide where to share mybiblemoment, which is in our legitimate interest. We only look at them in our own reports.
What we do not do
- We do not sell, rent or share your data for advertising.
- We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. This site sets no cookies.
- Apart from Cloudflare's analytics script, we do not load fonts or scripts from other companies when you visit.
Who helps us
These services process data for us under data processing agreements, and only to provide their service:
- Supabase stores the mailing list in our database (European Union).
- Cloudflare hosts this website and our API, protects them from abuse, and counts visits (global network, company based in the USA).
- Resend delivers our emails (USA).
When data is handled outside the European Economic Area, it is protected by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
How long we keep it
We keep your email address until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. If you never confirm your address, we send nothing beyond the confirmation email, and we delete the sign-up whenever you ask.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, limit how we use it, or send it to you in a portable format. You can also object to how we use it and withdraw your consent at any time, which does not affect emails we sent before. Email privacy@mybiblemoment.com and we will reply within one month.
If you think we have handled your data wrongly, you can complain to the data protection authority in the country where you live or work. In Slovakia, where we are based, that is the Office for Personal Data Protection of the Slovak Republic (dataprotection.gov.sk).
Children
The mailing list is for people aged 16 and over.
Changes
We will update this page before we launch the daily emails and the app, since they will use more data, such as your reading preferences. If a change affects how we use data you already gave us, we will email you first.
